Currently Playing: Propp Turner - Better use the turner or the magnetic tool?

Print it yourself at https://oskarvandeventer.nl/Print-It-Yourself/. Buy at Propp Lozenge is an invention by James (Jim) Propp. A set of 27 diamond-shaped tiles is placed into a hexagonal box. The shape and coloring of the tiles suggests a cubic shape, but it is flat. A blue tool is used to rotate a hexagonal set of three tiles by a multiple of 60 degrees, and then place them back. If one makes only 180-degrees turns, one can make any of the well-known Lozenge patterns that look like a cube with missing cubes. The goal of the puzzle is to scramble the puzzle and then solve it back to its original "cube" shape. One can scramble by tossing out the tiles and placing them in a random orientation and color pattern. The scrambled puzzle is always solvable. Copyright (c) 2026, M. Oskar van Deventer.
