The goal of the puzzle is to get the seven Soma pieces into their cage. However, the pieces have round pins that fit into holes in the pieces and the cage. Moreover, the lid prevents any pins from sticking out. Whereas there are many dozens of ways that the pieces could fit inside the cage, only one of those can actually be assemble.
