The puzzle is based on the aperiodic kites-and-darts Penrose tiling. Craig showed how a single kite or dart can be transformed to a jigsaw piece made of multiple smaller kites and darts. The two types of pieces are based on the kite and the dart piece respectively. The jigsaw pieces enforce the Penrose rules to assure aperiodicity. The goal it to make the 40 pieces (25+15) fit into the two-part frame. The puzzle may look difficult to solve.
