CH4+Cl2⟶CH3−Cl+HCl Unsaturated hydrocarbons are organic compounds that contain double and triple covalent bonds between two carbon atoms.Unsaturated hydrocarbons are known as alkenes and alkynes.Unsaturated hydrocarbons are more reactive due to π−electron density.Unsaturated hydrocarbons undergo an addition reaction.
