Two score, or in other words forty, years ago our gaming forefathers brought forth onto the NES a new video game, conceived in an environment of severe hardware limitations, and dedicated to the proposition that basic ROM cartridges still had some life left in them. Now we are engaged in a great series of videos testing whether that game, or any game that is so incredibly old and busted, can long endure in the world of addictive mobile games and AAAA sandbox extravaganzas. We find ourselves in the first video of that series. And we dedicate this video to those developers who gave their weekends so that the Mario series might live. It is altogether fitting and highly entertaining that we should do this. Seriously, though, I could go on like this all day, but who needs a description of what Super Mario Bros. is like?
