On July 15th 2006 around 12:05 pm Lisebergbanan was operating normally. Train 2 was loaded full of riders and dispatched from the station. As it began to climb the lift hill, train 5 pulled into the station and its lap bars opened. As riders started to exit the train, train 2 suddenly came crashing down the lift hill and into train 5. Sending riders flying and giving other riders a hard jolt.
