Around 9:21pm on October 24th 2013 Vortex at the North Carolina state fair was operating normally. The ride was just ending its normal cycle and was slowing to a stop. Once the ride stopped the rides restraints unlocked and riders began to exit the ride as normal. Seconds later the ride suddenly restarted.
