On Friday, September 5, 2003, Big Thunder Mountain at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California was operating normally. As the train rounded a right turn, the wheel assembly in the front of the decorative locomotive car shifted further to the left than it was designed to. Leading to the train derailing, killing one rider and injuring more than 10 others.
