Our Witness was on a hiking expedition along the Shoalhaven River between Tallong and Bungonia in New South Wales. After waking very early the next morning for the ‘call of nature’, she heard what sounded like rocks landing close by. Looking up at an escarpment ledge on the other side of the river, she sees a tall hairyman squatting high up on the ledge. The creature then vanishes? It wasn’t until many years later when she returned to the location with a guide, she discovers there was a small cave on the ledge that couldn’t be seen on from the position below.
