In March of 1993 just after the Harold E Holt Naval Communications Base was handed back from the Americans to Australia, two employees of the facility were driving from town towards the Base at 1.30am to pick up a fellow colleague who had finished his shift. In the distance on the remote road ahead, in the spotlights of the car they could see a strange creature walking right to left before stopping in the middle of the road. They fearfully stop the car and enter a 7 minute standoff before it continues on its way back into the bush.
