While driving west along the Wide Bay Highway towards Kilkivan in the Summer of 2012, Kevin and Leonard encounter a 7ft Yowie come from the left paddock and cross the road just ahead of their vehicle. It stops momentarily to look at them before leaping over a large drain and vanishing in the long grass on the other side. While living on a rural property at Kilkivan, Leonard told Kevin about strange occurrences involving missing Chickens and dead Snakes appearing overnight.
