Wrecker Rick and his family traveled over 3,000 miles to Alaska and spent SIX WEEKS building a massive landing craft from scratch to recover abandoned heavy equipment stranded 70 miles deep in the wilderness! Now, with the Yukon River dropping 4 to 6 inches every day and winter closing in, the Murphys Diesel crew must navigate treacherous waters in their homemade boat to pull off one of the most challenging recoveries of their lives. Large Marge the Barge is finally complete, along with our world’s largest mini jet boat that can run across wet grass! The stranded equipment is running again, and everything we’ve worked toward over the past six weeks comes down to this one mission. But Alaska isn’t making it easy. The river is dropping 4 to 6 inches every day, exposing dangerous sandbars, while we’re losing eight minutes of daylight daily. With winter closing in, every hour matters. Trapper Ryan from YouTube channel In The Trough: An Alaskan Odyssey joins our expedition to guide us through the constantly changing Yukon River. Our family and crew gather in a remote Alaskan village before heading into the wilderness to spend the night with the equipment and prepare for the journey home. The plan is to recover the heaviest machine first, putting our custom-built landing craft through its ultimate test. But when Murphy’s Law strikes 70 miles from civilization, our entire recovery mission is suddenly at risk! This is more than a recovery. It’s a family adventure we’ll never forget.
