Don, a retired 30-year veteran, was working near the edge of his family farm with his Bobcat skid steer when disaster struck. Without warning, the ground beneath him collapsed, creating a sinkhole that swallowed the machine. Because of the skid steer’s enclosed design and the unstable terrain, Don found himself in a life-threatening situation.
