In this video we go over how we can give our SillyTavern bots awareness of time, whether it be as simple as what time or day it is, or as complicated as if there has been a long gap between messages. Timeline: 0:00 - Intro 0:39 - Macro examples 3:40 -Time macros in character prompts 5:48 - How the time is automatically added into prompts 6:52 - Notes on special edge cases 8:06 - Closing The macros we are using to get awareness of time are: {{time}} - Gives the current time. {{date}} - Gives the date. {{weekday}} - Tells the AI what day of the week it is. {{idle_duration}} - tells the AI how long it has been since the last message sent by the user. The other two basic macros we should always remember to incorporate in character prompts are: {{char}} - The charaters name {{user}} - The users name.
