One of the biggest beginner mistakes in Hero Wars Dominion Era is investing resources into the wrong heroes too early. Gold, Emeralds, Soul Stones, gear, skins, artifacts, glyphs, and Ascension materials are limited. If you spend them on heroes that need special teams, outdated mechanics, or late-game support, your account can fall behind for weeks. And the biggest example is Artemis. The game gives her to you early. It feels like Hero Wars is telling you to build her. But for beginners, Artemis can become a resource trap because she needs too much protection around her before she can deal damage properly. ⚔️ WHAT THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT In this video, Zeus breaks down the full list of heroes you should avoid building as a beginner in Hero Wars. This is not a list of “bad heroes forever.” Some of these heroes can work in very specific teams. Some have uses in Osh, Asgard, Engineerium, or special counter situations. But that is not the same as being beginner friendly. As a beginner, you need heroes who work early, fit strong teams, help in Arena, Grand Arena, Guild Wars, Campaign, Tower, and other core game modes, and do not require perfect setups before they become useful. That is why this video goes role by role: Mage, Tank, Marksman, Healer, Support, Warrior, and Control. 💡 KEY TAKEAWAYS For the Mage role, the heroes to avoid are Lilith, Peppy, Mojo, Kai, Judge, and Satori. These heroes can have niche uses, but they are not the right early investment for new accounts. Most of them need specific compositions before they start giving value. For Tanks, avoid Luther, Ziri, and Cleaver as beginner investments. Cleaver can look interesting because of his hook mechanic, but the modern Hero Wars battlefield punishes outdated tanks very quickly. Beginners need a tank that protects the team from day one. For Marksmen, the danger is even bigger. Fox, Ginger, Daredevil, Artemis, and Astrid and Lucas are not beginner friendly. Artemis is the most important warning because many players build her simply because the game gives her early. But she needs strong protection, and beginners usually do not have the right team around her. For Healers, avoid Marcus, Maya, and Jett. Jett is especially misleading because he is not a full healer. His value comes more from supporting physical damage dealers with critical hit chance, not from keeping your team alive like a beginner healer should. For Support heroes, avoid Andvari and Alvanor. Andvari is outdated, and Alvanor lost much of his role because better options now exist, especially with heroes and pets that cover his old purpose more effectively. For Warriors, avoid Elmir, Ninja Turtles, and K’arkh. Elmir is one of the weakest investments right now, Ninja Turtles are tied to special development conditions, and K’arkh is outdated for both early progress and long-term value. For Control heroes, avoid Dark Star, Phobos, and Lian. Dark Star has never become a reliable meta hero. Phobos needs very specific teams. Lian was once stronger, but Sebastian and Khorus changed her value heavily, especially because Khorus is now so common on defense. 🚨 WHY THIS MATTERS Hero Wars is not only about unlocking heroes. It is about building the right heroes at the right time. A beginner account can be damaged badly by wrong investments. Every item, every Emerald, every artifact fragment, every skin stone, and every Soul Stone matters. When you build the wrong hero, you are not only losing resources. You are also slowing down the heroes who could actually carry your account. That is why beginner players must avoid heroes that need special conditions. If a hero needs Ascension skills to become useful, it is usually too early. If a hero needs a very specific team, it is usually too risky. If a hero is outdated in the current meta, beginners should not spend precious resources there. Your first goal is simple: build a core team that works reliably and helps you progress faster. 🧠 YOUR TURN Now tell me in the comments: did you already build Artemis because the game gave her to you early?
