Star Citizen 4.5 PTU finally brings Engineering gameplay to the Persistent Universe—and in this video I take the Anvil Asgard out for a limited solo engineering test. This is NOT a tutorial, but a real gameplay session where you can see the new systems in action while I try to figure them out as I experience it for the first time. I start with some quick space combat encounters against NPC ships to see how the Asgard handles under a little bit of pressure, then a friend attacks me with the Starlancer TAC to put the ship through a proper damage and repair scenario. The Asgard gets fully disabled, and I jump into engineering to restore power, repair components, and get the ship back into a flyable state before returning home for full repairs. If you’re wondering how Engineering works, how strong the Asgard is, or whether the ship will remain solo-viable in 4.5—this gameplay video should give you a peek at what to expect in the next major update. Granted, there will still be further updates before this patch goes live (I hope...). 00:00 Introduction 00:27 Asgard's engineering terminal and fire extinguishers 02:49 Cockpit MFDs 03:59 Arriving at Everus Harbor 04:29 Buying needed supplies for engineering 06:19 Departing Everus Harbor to find some combat 07:20 Engaging with NPC ships at an Aberdeen OLP 10:57 Assessing for damage after fighting several small NPC ships 11:32 Meeting a friend in Starlancer TAC to test damage 12:57 Monitoring engineering terminal during missile hits 16:02 Equipping multitool with salvage attachment and cannister 16:21 Starting repairs on components 20:38 Discussing the soloability of the Asgard with engineering 21:40 Allowing a Starlancer TAC to fully disable the Asgard 22:03 Disabled Asgard and damage assessment 22:56 First fire encounter and venting it successfully 24:37 Beginning repair of all components 26:02 Realizing failed first attempt 26:37 Beginning a second attempt and disabling the Asgard 27:27 Damage assessment of the disabled ship 28:01 Focusing on repairing all components and thrusters 28:33 Realizing success and heading back to Hurston 29:53 Nearly crashing in Lorville due to difficulty controlling ship 31:25 Finally arriving at Everus Harbor to perform repairs 32:59 Safe arrival back at Lorville and conclusion If you enjoy the video, hit like and subscribe for more cinematic Star Citizen gameplay and tutorials from RidgeSix.
