An aircraft has vanished from radar in Indonesia, prompting a major search and rescue operation. The missing plane is an ATR 42-500 turboprop operated by Indonesia Air Transport, flying from Yogyakarta to Makassar with 11 people onboard. Contact with air traffic control was lost at 1:17 p.m. local time, with the aircraft last tracked near the Leang-Leang area of South Sulawesi.
