The FAA temporarily grounded all commercial, cargo, and general aviation flights in and out of El Paso International Airport after officials say Mexican cartel drones breached U.S. airspace. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the FAA and Defense Department “acted swiftly to address a cartel drone incursion” and that “the threat has been neutralized.” An administration official told Business Insider the Pentagon “took action to disable the drones.” The restriction has since been lifted and normal operations have resumed.
