Airlines flying to Cuba have been formally warned of a jet fuel shortage that could begin as early as midnight Monday. A NOTAM for Havana’s José Martí International Airport states Jet A-1 fuel may be unavailable from February 10 through March 11, raising concerns about a disruption that could last up to a month. Multiple airports are affected, including Havana, Varadero, Holguín, Santa Clara, Cayo Coco, Cayo Largo, and Camagüey. While airlines have not yet announced cancellations, carriers are already adjusting operations by tankering fuel, refueling outside Cuba, and planning contingencies as the situation continues to evolve.
