During Tyler Robinson's first public court appearance on Thursday, his lawyers asked the judge to suspend all video recording for the day. This motion came after a livestream video inadvertently showed Robinson's handcuffs from a wide-angle shot, which was a restriction set by the court. The judge ultimately issued a stern warning to the media but allowed the livestream to continue after the camera was moved to the opposite side of the courtroom. Later in the hearing, Robinson's lawyers hinted they would file another motion to remove cameras from the courtroom in future hearings.
