A famous Ferdinand Porsche quote is "I couldn't find the sports car of my dreams, so I built it myself" In this episode, we take another massive step forward on the Porsche 356 × 718 restomod. The goal: fit the roof, align the A- and B-pillars, and make a fully functioning door — easier said than done when you’re blending a 1960s 356 with a modern 718 to build the ultimate Porsche dream Supercar. Follow along as we: • Laser-cut, fold, and weld precision B-pillar sections • Align the roof and window frames within 1–2 mm tolerance • Build strength back into the sills and pillars. • Mock up and test fitment using traditional & modern fabrication tools This is real-world restomod engineering — not a show car, but craftsmanship that honors Porsche’s heritage while pushing what’s possible. 🔔 Subscribe to catch every episode as we continue this one-of-a-kind build. #Porsche356Restomod #Porsche718CaymanBuild #PorscheRestoration #PorscheEngineering #RestomodPorscheProject #ClassicPorscheBodySwap #PorscheCraftsmanship #CarRestoration #CustomCarFabrication #PorscheStructuralFabrication #BodyworkAndMetalwork #PorscheRoofFitment #BpillarRepair #WeldingAndFabrication #Melomotive #RestorationWorkshop #AustralianMadeRestoration #PorscheSupercarBuild #ClassicMeetsModern #PorscheRestorationSeries
