We dragged home what’s barely a Porsche 356 – a chopped up shell with missing floors, hacked panels, and a roof held on with tape. But we’ve got BIG plans. Think Porsche 356 meets modern performance.

This is the episode where our air-cooled-looking classic Porsche suddenly needs radiators. We finally turn our attention to the front end of our Porsche 356 / 718 project — the area we’ve been avoiding because the packaging is ridiculously tight. Somehow, we manage to fit the OEM Porsche 718 radiators under the original classic 356 bodywork without destroying the shape that makes the car so iconic. From there, we move into custom aluminium fabrication, shaping panels and designing ducting around the new cooling system, taking inspiration from modern Porsche GT cars like the GT3 RS and GT2 RS. This is no ordinary restoration. It’s part classic Porsche, part modern supercar packaging, part coachbuilt fabrication puzzle. A Porsche 356 was never meant to have front radiators… but this one does now. Follow along as we combine a classic Porsche 356 body with a modern Porsche 718 platform to create a one-of-one custom Porsche restomod using professional fabrication, restoration, bodywork, and automotive design techniques.
