Several years ago we were invited to sing at a church in an area and city that were completely unknown to us. We were delighted to accept the invitation and put the church on the schedule at our first possibility. We knew nothing about the church's history, doctrine or members. All we knew was that the people we met were kind and desired us to sing for them. The fact of the matter is this, no church ever gets just singing from us. I am a preacher and the Word of God is going to come out if you want us to sing for 45 minutes or an hour. I preached between songs that night and we had a wonderful time. As we were shaking hands after the service and taking down our sound system, I had two very interesting and completely sincere questions. #1 You mentioned revival. What is revival? #2 You said that people such as alcoholics, drug addicts and others could be instantly changed by Christ. Is that true? Can God really make a drastic change in a life? Can God make everything new? This is what the Bible says. II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Oh, yes He can! Hallelujah! God will radically and drastically change us when we come unto God by Him! I was happy that night to tell those precious people that God has and will make an instant and substantial difference in lives.
