Divine Instruction Concerning Forgiveness Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. If we refuse to forgive those that have wronged us, our Father will refuse to forgive us when we ask Him to forgive us. That gives me even more incentive to have a forgiving disposition. Forgiveness is difficult at times, but Corrie Ten Boom teaches us that forgiveness is an act of the will. Forgiving can bring us closer to God with more intensity than anything else.
