According to Strong Concordance that phrase paints a picture in Hebrew that says he lived His life under a full sail! A sailor with the right knowledge and equipment can use the wind to sail in almost any direction he desires. Caleb did not use God's power to go his own direction. He put his sails all the way up and went wherever God blew him. He lived his life under a full sail! He wholly followed the Lord! Wholly, completely and without reservation Caleb followed the Lord!
