The arrangement she has with Ian and Lip where she acts as Ian’s girlfriend to give him “straight boy” cover and does the sex bit with Lip has gone horribly wrong. She’s pregnant. This is enough of a problem in itself, except that it’s made worse by the fact that everyone is going to assume that Ian’s the father’s unless he’s prepared to come out and that’s not an option in Chatsworth. Before he knows what’s happening, Ian’s round at the Maguire’s house, the most frightening family on the estate, and has been signed up to a shotgun wedding by Mandy’s parents Patrick and Mimi (Sean Gilder and Tina Malone). Lip doesn’t look like he’s going to try and help Ian out either and a rift forms between the boys. Meanwhile, Fiona gets mugged on her way home from a night out with Veronica and when she spots the juvenile mugger the following day and chases him home she finds herself unexpectedly caught up in a brief romance with Craig (Chris Coghill).
