On August 26, 2024, 65-year-old Anthony Jones allegedly walked into Farmers National Bank at 2935 Elm Road NE in Warren, Ohio, attempting to open an account and deposit two checks totaling $1.645 million. Bank employees became suspicious because Jones’ passport appeared fraudulent and the checks could not be verified.
