On February 21, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida, a 29-year-old woman was driving a silver Land Rover southbound on a major street when she struck a 32-year-old man, who was crossing the road in an unmarked crosswalk in the area. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The woman left the scene, but police located her at her home about an hour later and arrested her.
