I’m Spartacus Olsson. This is my next big project, and I want you to join me. Battles are fascinating in themselves, but great battles also act like burning glasses, focusing the problems humanity has faced into one fiery, dramatic moment. They reveal how we became who we are, what we might learn from those who came before us, and how we can become who we aspire to be. We will travel from the wars of antiquity through medieval Europe and imperial China, the Thirty Years’ War, the revolutionary and Napoleonic eras, the American Civil War, both World Wars, and beyond. But we won’t examine only what happened on the battlefield. We’ll explore the weapons and technology, military organization, personalities, politics, tactics, and strategy, and, crucially, how each battle changed the world, or failed to change it. Sometimes a battle forces history to choose between two paths, and that choice continues to shape our lives today. Sometimes it leads to progress. More often, it merely exchanges one road for another, with new trials and tragedies ahead. And some great battles change almost nothing. Yet they too can teach us about defense, resistance, courage, and the terrible futility of war. Starting in January 2027, I will bring you one new battle every week in long-format videos and Shorts on the TimeGhost channel, thoroughly researched and as academically accurate as possible, with seldom-covered details, maps, graphics, and everything necessary to bring the history alive. Meanwhile, I’ll also continue bringing you new World War Two content every week, and Indy will continue the Korean War. Producing all of this at the quality you expect takes a team, facilities, and resources. Most importantly, it takes you. We make our history without integrated advertising, while fighting an algorithm that rewards cheaper, simpler content. Only the TimeGhost Army enables us to keep building this enormous library for present and future generations. So, join the TimeGhost Army, maintain your pledge, or increase it if you can.
