Dive into the steamy, over-the-top world of 1984's cult classic "The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak" (originally titled "Gwendoline") in this uncensored review! Directed by Just Jaeckin (the mind behind "Emmanuelle"), this erotic adventure follows runaway nun Gwendoline (Tawny Kitaen) as she teams up with a rugged mercenary (Brent Huff) to rescue her missing father from the mysterious Land of the Yik Yak. Expect wild chases, underground queens, bondage-inspired thrills, and a rare butterfly hunt gone wrong in this mix of action, fantasy, comedy, and softcore escapism based on John Willie's iconic comic. In this members-only 18+ edition, I break down the film's campy charm, ridiculous dialogue, sexist tropes, and why it's a guilty pleasure for fans of 80s exploitation cinema. We discuss the uncut version's explicit scenes, Tawny Kitaen's breakout role, and how it holds up today—without holding back! Is it a hidden gem or a hilarious flop?
