Subscribe, it's free! After the Great War, the state’s former capital became known as Dog Town, named for the massive packs of wild dogs and Cyberdogs that roamed the ruins. They were quick, dangerous and hungry. Most people avoided the city entirely out of fear of being eaten. Yet a small group of survivors made their home among the tallest buildings, taking advantage of the city’s vertiginous layout. They crossed Denver via its many bridges, grew food on rooftops and balconies, carving out a precarious life above the dangerous streets. Over time, these survivors learned to coexist. Some Cyberdogs, like REX, can live for over 200 years, an almost godlike age that turned them into living legends. Gradually, the survivors evolved into a tribe known as the Hangdogs. They did not just live alongside the feral packs as their ancestors had. Instead the hangdogs learned to tame them, and once that bond was forged, the city’s streets were much safer to explore. Life was bliss… until a certain group flying a red flag with a golden bull, decided to pay the city a visit...
