There is a troubling rise in police violence across the country. Speaking on the death of three Canadian officers killed in the line of duty in the last two weeks, Scott Mills of the Ontario Provincial Police Association said, “The policing community is devasted.” The GTA is mourning the recent loss of two officers: Const. Tarun Bali in Hearst, and Const. Marc Pinizzotto in Toronto. And on Monday, Montreal police officer Mohamed Lamine Benredouane was shot and killed in the Côte-des-Neiges district of the city. This as Canada's police association continues to advocate for bail reform and stricter punishments for repeat offenders. Jaden Lee-Lincoln reports.
