After getting the entire perimeter perfectly graded and leveled in the last episode, today we are taking a spectacular leap: starting the prep work for the second floor of the house! We kick off the day by setting up a crucial heavy transport run. We hop into our Renault K480 truck attached to the lowboy trailer and head out to load all the necessary materials to build the new floor slab. With a lot of patience, we load up the iron props, the wooden beams for the base structure, and the wooden boards that we will use to create the entire formwork deck—the essential step before we can lay down the rebar structure. Once we arrive at the plot with the fully loaded convoy, it's time to unload. For this job, to be much faster and more agile moving around the rough terrain of the site, we are going to use our CAT M318F wheeled excavator. We hook up the Engcon pallet forks and get straight to work, unloading and strategically distributing all the materials around the house.
