This summer, join us for "Midsummer with Shakespeare: Four Initiations into the Shakespearean Imagination." In this 4-week course hosted on Versed~ Community, my online school for poetry, we’ll read one major play from each of Shakespeare’s four dramatic genres: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Comedy), King Lear (Tragedy), Richard III (History), and The Tempest (Romance).You'll come away with the tools to read any of Shakespeare's plays confidently and maybe even fall in love with them. Taught in the Oxford-style tutorial format, the course includes live lectures, written study guides, and guided seminar discussions. Whether you're a complete beginner or a lifelong Shakespeare lover, this course welcomes you! Versed~ Community is a hybrid of school and social space. We read together, talk together, and grow as readers through live discussion and rich community.
