We’re Running Out Of Straw... And That’s A BIG Problem Welcome to Episode 45 of the Farming Simulator 25 Mega Farm series on the Judith Plains Montana 4X map! We start by giving the sugar beet fields their second coat of fertilizer, then spend most of the day mowing alfalfa from two of our new fields. This gives us a chance to test the new Auto Drive system, the new field silo, and prepare for combining the four new fields into one massive alfalfa field. But then we discover a serious problem on the Mega Farm... We are running out of straw for the TMR mix. Our automated straw delivery system has already moved around 6 million liters of straw into the cow barns, and now our storage is nearly empty. We recover roughly 600,000 liters from the cow barn silos, enough for only a few more batches of TMR. With the dairy cows consuming around 1 million liters of TMR every month, we may only have about four months of straw left before we’re forced to start buying straw bales.
