We Tried Automated Field Storage For The First Time. Welcome to Episode 37 of the Farming Simulator 25 Mega Farm series on the Judith Plains Montana 4X map! This time we need to spread nearly 2 million litres of digestate across our massive 250 acre field, but realistic 35,000 litre trailers make the job painfully slow. Driving every digestate trailer back to the biogas plant for every refill would take forever. So we try automated field storage for the first time. We park a mobile field storage trailer beside the 250 acre field and use tractors to shuttle digestate from the biogas plant to keep it full. Meanwhile, 3 digestate tractors stay on the field and refill from the field storage instead of making the long trip back. Getting the automated field storage setup working correctly was the first challenge. Keeping it supplied was the second! One transport tractor couldn't keep up, and even with 2 tractors hauling digestate, the 3 field tractors were draining the storage faster than expected. It was a serious logistics puzzle, but another valuable Mega Farm automation lesson learned.
