At the beginning of the week, I was reading the works of George Fitzclarence, the 1st Earl of Munster, a man who was recorded his travels to Giza in 1818. In his memoirs, he mentions seeing artwork inside an Old Kingdom mastaba in the Western Cemetery, next to the Great Pyramid, showing oxen being used to pull stone across land. And this made me think: Did the Ancient Egyptians use oxen to haul stone in the Old Kingdom to build the pyramids? For me, the whole idea makes complete sense but is there any evidence to back up the idea? Well, in this video, I take a look. All images are wither my own, taken from the sources listed, from Google Earth and Google Images for educational purposes only.
