We had been going to the Institute of Functional Neuroscience twice a week since November 2012 and Candice was starting to get back sensation and movement in her shoulders and her right arm. From May to September we stopped going to the Institute whilst we got Candice settled into the Quadriplegic Centre, where she is living until we get funding for 24/7 care at home. We also needed to fundraise to enable us to continue with all Candice's private treatments. There is also the expense of the wheelchair taxis whenever we take Candice anywhere. Whilst the government subsidizes wheelchair taxi fares, the cost still mounts up when we are traveling 45 minutes South for one program and 45 minutes North for another! We are now back at the Institute (November 2013) and after just three sessions, Candice is getting back to where she was when we were last there in April.
