IN SPIRIT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity founded in Marin County in 1987 by Aneice Taylor, who became a quadriplegic in 1982 when her house was destroyed by a mudslide. Upon discovering the difficulties faced by herself and other quadriplegics in living independently in their homes, she formed IN SPIRIT to address the inadequacy of home care and other essential services.
