The Cummins Daimler limo is getting its biggest upgrade yet… a P7100 fuel pump from friday parts, check them out here: https://www.fridayparts.com In this episode we pull the front of the engine apart to ditch the modified VE pump and fit a proper P-pump setup. That means removing the cooling pack, pulley system, timing case, cam and rotary pump — then converting everything over to run the inline injection pump. I also explain why the P7100 isn’t automatically more powerful than our current setup, and what needs to change to make it outperform the VE pump. We install 4K governor springs, adjust the AFC housing, and compare the pumps in detail before fitting it all back together. Of course, nothing is ever simple… the fuel system and injectors end up needing changes as well, so we track down a second-hand set and finally get the engine running again. It should now be much faster — but we’ll find out in the next video.
