Episode 164 In this session I will talk about our latest results on applying AI to circuit transpiling. In our work, we apply Reinforcement Learning to different transpiling tasks and achieve a remarkable balance between speed and quality of the results. I will also talk about how we use these methods to provide ai-powered transpiling through our Qiskit Transpiler Service. David is a Lead AI Engineer at IBM Quantum, where he works in applying Artificial Intelligence to problems that arise in Quantum Computing, and has recently developed AI-based transpiler passes in Qiskit. In his previous role, he led the AI team at IBM Consulting Spain, and has also held teaching positions at several universities and academies such as Universidad Europea de Madrid and IE University. He received his MSc. in applied mathematics from University of Oxford in 2014, and his Degree in Physics from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in 2013.
