When his experiment goes wrong, a powerful bio-engineered clone is born—one that moves like Sonic, fights with ruthless instinct, and begins to question its own existence. As Chaos Emeralds scatter, alliances are tested, and Eggman’s creation turns against him, Sonic and his friends must confront a dark reflection that threatens to break free from its creator’s control and reshape the future.

Bio Sonic admits to losing the Chaos Emerald, but Eggman has other plans. He's developed a glowing red ring with a star in its center, a tool that he says will increase Bio Sonic's power exponentially. Eggman leaves him with that as he moves to a separate room to plot. Bio Sonic, seeing an opportunity, goes to Eggman's super computer and finds schematics of himself, and finds the program that was used to compile him, an application labeled "SONIC.EXE". Now, believing that he's found who he was meant to be, he adopts the name Sonic EXE, and leads a revolution in his name.
