(It's not for an asym) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJbuzRXs66R2gKjEPhoaepeYNEPejeun6 Lyrics: https://pastebin.com/yE48fvqG Karaoke ver.: https://youtu.be/bqUIBVqn7EQ Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/0IxojQ784KXLpiq7Jhw9FR As you could probably tell, this was heavily inspired by "What I'm Made Of..." because it so happens the original version of Final Escape was in the same key. I wrote this back in July and only recently got the funds to pay for Mr. Gioeli to sing on it. I actually reached out to him back in August of last year but I was nowhere near a stable place financially to afford it. Then Outcome Memories released their collab with Johnny, and I was like "Damn! They got to him before me!" LOL I thought about it and figured it'd be better if I fully develop the song before I contact Johnny again. So I got into contact with Joshua Taipale to see about commissioning him for the guitars since he's phenomenal at getting that Senoue sound (and also has that amazing website ThrillOfTheTone.net that I used a ton for the making of the rest of Sonic Crimson's soundtrack). Before I got his guitar tracks, I asked my dad (Juanemus) to record the bass for me, and all that was really left was for the drums to be cleaner. SO... I reached out to Akht to see about having him perform the drums for this, and he ALSO slammed it beautifully (and I took some notes on how to make my drums sound a lot better thanks to him). Sooo, while I waited for that to come through, I got that Final Escape concept render and the concept intro animatic that Doorknob made for VS. Sonic.EXE and reached out to ScorchVx to see about having him do the cover art in Yuji Uekawa's art style. So yeah, if you were wondering why Bio Sonic was kind of a dark, mossy green, that's why-- he was designed with Doorknob's Xenophanes color palette in mind. The Junji Ito esque "Uzumaki" eye, by the way? Also from the Doorknob sketches, specifically from the intro animatic when Xenophanes is reaching out to the screen and screaming, hence the pose we chose for Titan Sonic.EXE. Once that was all settled, all that was left was to reach out to Johnny again, and we got it done like THAT. I had a demo of myself singing the song (which I may or may not release one day just for the giggles), so I sent that to Johnny and told him "if you have any alterations to the lyrics or vocal melodies you'd say work better, I'm totally open to it," because at the end of the day, the goal of this song is to be "if Crush 40 made Final Escape for Sonic Crimson," and there's nothing more "Crush 40" about the vocals than having Johnny go off like he did here. In the end, he only changed the vocal melodies and added some beautiful harmonies that were absent in the original demo I sent, as well as a couple additions and re-arrangements to the lyrics. I'm glad to have finally been able to release this to you guys, and hey, just in time for the 15th anniversary of Sonic.EXE's original story being released. A song one year in the making and a whole soundtrack later, I can finally post this for you. I hope you like it :) ============================== SEGA is registered in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
