In this multipart series I explore the phenomenon of interpreting "Bible Prophecy" and why it has utterly disappointed its devotees and adherents through the ages--with a 100% rate of failure! We look at both the texts of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, but also the long history of interpretation and predictions of the end of the age, beginning with the Dead Sea Scroll group around 100 BCE, all the way down to our own time--which has proven to be a heyday of Prophetic Schemes and Predictions.

By the "Jesus Apocalypse" I mean the core text of Mark 13 in which Jesus is said to have laid out a scenario for his final generation. In this video I compare two rewritten accounts, found in Matthew 24 and Luke 21--both very different and going in opposite ways. The problem was clearly the failure of the prophecies of Daniel to come about after 70 CE. Although we are reading the words of the author of Mark, not Jesus directly, billions of Christians consider these one and the same.
