In this multipart series I explore the phenomenon of interpreting "Bible Prophecy" and why it has utterly disappointed its devotees and adherents through the ages--with a 100% rate of failure! We look at both the texts of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, but also the long history of interpretation and predictions of the end of the age, beginning with the Dead Sea Scroll group around 100 BCE, all the way down to our own time--which has proven to be a heyday of Prophetic Schemes and Predictions.

In this FINALE of my mini-series on the Top Seven Fateful Texts of the New Testament I choose the central underlying cause that lies behind all six of the specific texts I previously y covered. It is the CORE reason that the texts I selected ended up causing untold harm, namely that the Kingdom of God was to arrive in Jesus' generation and all the parameters of our present existence as human beings (gender, , marriage, celibacy, slavery, government, et al.)--that is, mid to late 1st century CE. You can find the texts I discuss at this blog post: https://jamestabor.com/new-testament-texts-on-the-imminence-of-the-end/ On-line Courses: "Jesus & Dead Sea Scrolls” https://mvp-courses.com/tabor-dss Creating Jesus: Gospel of Mark https://mythvisionpodcast.com/firstgospel __________________________________________ The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft agley מהמלים בקשר את המלים ועל סמך המלים Retired Prof. of Religious Studies/Christian Origins The University of North Carolina at Charlotte About Dr. James D.
