Original music for my game, Out of Touch! So I began by improvising something on the piano, looking for the bespoke catchy hook. Once I found it I recorded it in my DAW and started building the rest of the track around that. I then worked on the sound design. I took heavy inspiration from Italo-Disco and the references provided. All the sounds were created from scratch with my many analog hardware synthesizers, some vintage, some modern, but all with that classic warm sound. I then came up with the bassline. The melody for it is quite eclectic, both upbeat and tense, naughty and carefree, once again to emphasize "that state of mind". After that, I arranged the track, wrote most of the melodies, and recorded the sounds. The song starts with the hook I talked about, which in my opinion would work perfectly for a title screen. It then quickly devolves into a more atmospheric and thoughtful sound. After that comes the beat, which once again shifts the mood to a more upbeat one, and that's something that I played a lot with. The song then builds up, but instead of exploding goes into another, more atmospheric build-up, which elevates the sense of anticipation and brings even more catharsis when the chorus hits. For the chorus, I brought in again the main melody, the hook, and build harmonies around that. This is the densest part of the track, the one that sticks with the listener. After the chorus, the song shifts again, into another sort of "verse", then a build-up, and finally the final chorus/climax. Once the song was finalized, I touched-up the mix and mastered it (to -0.1dbTP -10LUFS).
