Our vlogs have felt a little same-y recently…and honestly? I think that’s okay. 🤍 In this video, I open up about one of the real reasons we eventually stopped daily vlogging. Back when we first started, our videos were always quite simple - family life, ordinary routines and all the little everyday moments in between. But as the internet changed, with the rise of drama channels, short-form content, reaction videos and creators pushing the boundaries further and further, it began to feel as though staying successful meant we had to do the same. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that - it just wasn’t our style. We weren’t willing to keep pushing the boundaries of what we shared, especially when it involved our family. Ultimately, we chose to step back instead. Aside from that little heart-to-heart, this vlog is actually very jam-packed! The dogs have been poorly AGAIN after eating those bloody ornamental dates that keep falling into our garden, so I finally show you the tree responsible for all the chaos. 😅 Our little finch friend also makes another surprise appearance after flying into the house, Edie gives us a tour of her bedroom and shows off her gorgeous new vanity, and we take Emilia to spend some time with a friend. On the way home, we stop at Alcampo for groceries, pick up plenty of snacks and, naturally, the girls manage to get themselves another Dunkin’. 😂🍩 Back at home, I’m bitten by a mosquito on my FACE yet again, we order a delicious sushi takeaway, and Jonathan and I finish the evening with a peaceful walk with the dogs. It may be basic. It may even be a little boring sometimes.
