I got a great viewer question on this stitching video: https://youtu.be/G9EG2PN7PDk I answer the question, hopefully giving some insight along the way. Here's the question from Faiza: Hi . thank you for the video. I have a question. For example if we have 2 ontologies with same classes, ( some may have ontologies may have additional classes/concepts but overall the concepts are same in all the ontologies). these ontologies may have instances that are similar sementically but written differently. Example Ontology A Disease └── Diabetes_Mellitus └── Hypertension └── Myocardial_Infarction Ontology B Disease └── Diabetes └── High_Blood_Pressure └── Heart_Attack So, semantically they have equivalent instances Ontology A Ontology B Diabetes_Mellitus Diabetes My question is, how we can compare these two instances and maintain th aliases, Is it better to create an upper ontology or what should we merge these graphs and also if we have to trace individual instances as well from which orginal ontology they came from?
