Curated by: Ontology Explained: Philosophy and AI (109 videos)
I stumbled across a video where the talked about the "Philosopher's Fallacy". I had never heard about it before. And being a philosopher and someone who is passionate about (avoiding!) fallacies, I had to check it out. This video unpacks what the fallacy is supposed to be. I think discuss what the process should be in creating a new, previously-unnamed, fallacy. And I dig into what is really going on with the philosopher's fallacy. In the end, I conclude that there are some other more specific named fallacies we could use to identify the errors, so it's probably not worth adding this arrow to our quiver. But if we did, I'd call it the Blueprint Bias rather than a philosopher's fallacy. Tell me what you think!
