The fuel system on these older Detroit engines can be a mystery. In this video I figure out the whole system including the injectors, the rack adjustments (running the rack), and the governor. This applies to the 8.2L Detroit obviously, but also the older 2 stroke Detroits like the series 71 and 92. I REALIZED AFTER PUBLISHING THE VIDEO THAT GLUING A MAGNET IN THE INDICATOR HOLDER WON'T WORK! Because when in use the rocker arm is pressing in the middle of the injector follower and the magnet will be in the way. Best solution is going to be to use springs and bolts as shown in the video, unless you have the perfect C shaped magnet.
